Inter CEO Beppe Marotta announced his exit from the club once his contract ends in June 2027.
Speaking alongside former NBA player Luis Scola, the CEO of Italian basketball team Pallacanestro Varese, the 66 year-old disclosed his intention to shift his focus to youth development once he departs the Nerazzurri in the coming years.
“When my contract ends, I will leave Inter and focus on developing young footballers,” he stated according to goal.com.
“The youth sector and youth development is the greatest asset of a club, particularly from a human perspective.”
Marotta also expressed his belief that “charging for youth sports is wrong” and advocates for making sports accessible to young individuals, suggesting it should be free—offering youngsters from lesser means the same opportunities as others.
