Late yesterday, Inter joined Roma in the race for ex-Juventus man Alvaro Morata. Though, it didn’t take long for their interest to cool after holding talks with the Spaniard’s agent earlier today.
Juanma López, Morata’s agent, met with Giallorossi executive Tiago Pinto on Monday afternoon before travelling to Milano today to talk with the Nerazzurri’s senior management.
Tuttomercatoweb reports Inter were ready to formulate their first offer before halting talks with the player’s entourage given Morata’s excessive salary demands of over €5 million per year.
In addition, Atletico Madrid informed interested clubs they won’t negotiate a transfer fee for Morata, insisting they must pay his reported €20 million release clause.
