Inter and Genoa are reportedly edging closer to a deal for goalkeeper Josep Martinez, with negotiations progressing smoothly.
According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, the deal is expected to be worth €12 million in cash, along with a player going to Genoa. Martinez has emerged as the Nerazzurri’s top target in goal as they view him the perfect long-term successor for Yann Sommer.
Genoa initially set an asking price of €18 million for Martinez, but Inter have managed to lower that in negotiations by offering a player as part of the deal. The Nerazzurri are expected to pay around €10 million plus €2 million in add-ons for Martinez, with the clubs also working out which player will move in the opposite direction.
One potential player that Inter could offer in exchange is striker Martin Satriano, who has attracted interest from clubs like Stuttgart and Valencia. Additionally, wingback Mattia Zanotti, a product of Inter’s youth academy, is another player that Genoa like.
