Romei Confirms Inter Milan’s Interest in Juventus Star Chiesa

Maurizio Romei, the man who first discovered Juventus star Federico Chiesa, has confirmed that Inter Milan is genuinely interested in the player. Chiesa, who is currently facing a pivotal moment in his career, with his contract at Juventus set to expire in June 2025, and the club’s new coach Thiago Motta reportedly not considering him suitable for his tactical system.

While there have been rumors linking Chiesa to clubs like AS Roma or Napoli, a new story has emerged suggesting a potential move to Inter Milan. Romei, who is a close friend of Chiesa and played a key role in his early development, disclosed in an interview that Inter’s interest in the Italian international is real.

“I’m actually aware of Inter’s interest in Chiesa. The rumor of their appreciation is real,” Romei told TuttoJuve journalist Mirko Di Natale. “Federico is on the transfer list. And surely, even with other clubs, something can happen between now and the end of August.”

Despite the speculation surrounding Chiesa’s future, Romei believes that the player has the ability to convince Motta to keep him at Juventus. He mentioned, “I asked him if he’ll stay at Juventus. He told me to evaluate other choices, mostly because Federico wants to play in the Champions League. So I told him to go abroad, adding that he needs a coach after Allegri who can give him confidence again.”

Romei advised Chiesa to speak with Motta before making a decision, describing the coach as a very serious person. The future of Chiesa remains uncertain, but it seems that a potential move to Inter Milan is on the cards.
