Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi commends the work of Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio as the masterminds behind Inter Milan’s successful transfers. Tacchinardi expressed his admiration for the duo in an interview with Italian newspaper Quotidiano Sportivo, as reported by FCInterNews.
Beppe Marotta, a seasoned football executive, has been leading Inter as their CEO of sport since 2018. His arrival at Inter following his departure from Juventus has been instrumental in the club’s continued success. Despite facing financial challenges, Inter has managed to secure trophies over the past four seasons and even reached finals in the Europa League and Champions League.
Marotta’s impact was so significant that Inter’s owners, Oaktree Capital, appointed him as the new club President earlier this year. Alongside Marotta, Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has played a crucial role in shaping Inter’s squad and overall sporting project. Ausilio, who has been with Inter for over a decade, has grown into his role and now stands as a key figure alongside Marotta.
Tacchinardi lauded Marotta and Ausilio for their ability to swiftly address any gaps in the squad. He highlighted the seamless transition when one player departs and another arrives, citing the example of Taremi. Tacchinardi noted that Inzaghi, Inter’s coach, is already building on a solid foundation, unlike other Serie A teams that may undergo significant changes in September.
