Former Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca is nearing a return to Serie A.
The Italian attacker initially opened transfer talks with boyhood club Roma last month regarding a return. Although the sides quickly agreed to contractual terms, West Ham haven’t accepted any of the Giallorossi’s multiple transfer proposals.
With the capital club’s discussions stalling, Inter opened talks with the striker’s agent and the sides quickly agreed to personal terms. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Nerazzurri tabled an offer worth around €25 million, including add-ons, for the permanent transfer of Scamacca.
Negotiations between Inter and West Ham United are expected to resume negotiations in the coming days with both sides confident a deal will be reached.
