Torino boss Ivan Juric is close to welcoming an important January reinforcement ahead of next week’s deadline.
Highly regarded Hellas Verona midfielder Ivan Ilić is set to join the Granata on a permanent deal after the club reached an agreement with his representatives earlier today.
Tuttomercatoweb reports the 21 year-old is expected to touch down in Torino either Friday or Saturday to undergo his medical examinations. He’ll pen a 4.5 year contract that runs until June 2027, ending his two and a half year stint with Verona.
It’s a massive coup for Toro sporting director Davide Vagnati, who was eager to reinforce the team in January. Ilić garnered vast interest from several clubs in recent months including Napoli and Roma.
