Juventus closing in on €60m deal for Atalanta midfielder Koopmeiners

IF24 Desk

Juventus is reportedly on the verge of securing the signature of Teun Koopmeiners next week for a substantial fee of around €60m. The Italian club is actively pursuing the Atalanta midfielder, who has been absent from team training sessions for several days. Despite Koopmeiners’ desire to make the move to Turin, Atalanta has yet to give the green light for the transfer.

According to reports from Gazzetta and Tuttosport, it is unlikely that Koopmeiners will make the switch to Juventus before their upcoming match against Hellas Verona. However, Juventus remains confident in finalizing the deal before the closure of the summer transfer window in Italy on August 30.

Atalanta has set a price tag of €60m for Koopmeiners, and Juventus is prepared to meet their demands by offering €50m upfront along with additional €6m-7m in add-ons. The club is solely focused on acquiring Koopmeiners as a midfield reinforcement this summer and does not have a backup plan in place.

In addition to Koopmeiners, Juventus is also looking to bolster their attacking options by targeting players such as Nico Gonzalez, Jadon Sancho, and Francisco Conceiçao. The club is determined to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
