Juventus contemplating loan move for Tiago Djalo to regain form

IF24 Desk

Juventus is eager to witness Tiago Djalo’s true potential after a lackluster start at the club and is contemplating sending him out on loan for the upcoming season. The 24-year-old Portuguese defender made the move to the Bianconeri from Lille in January for €5.1m, following a lengthy recovery from a cruciate ligament injury that kept him out of action for over 300 days. Djalo only managed one appearance for Juventus in his first half-season, playing 16 minutes in the final game against Monza after regaining match fitness. His contract with the club runs until June 2026 with an option for a further two years.

Juventus is now exploring the possibility of loaning out Djalo this summer to allow him to play regularly and regain full fitness before returning to Thiago Motta’s squad. While a destination for the defender is yet to be determined, it seems unlikely that he will remain in Turin for the time being.
