Meeting with fans during the club’s tour in the United States, Juventus defender Danilo was asked about his team’s one-year UEFA competition ban.
The Bianconeri will miss out on this season’s Conference League competition after UEFA ruled they violated Financial Fair Play rules.
“Certainly, we would have enjoyed playing in European competitions. But it is the right decision if it ensures a stable future for us,” the Brazilian told multiple media outlets.
“This year we will focus on the domestic league and the Coppa Italia. Our goal is to win the Serie A title again and bring Juventus back to the top position among Italian clubs.”
Adding, “We haven’t won it for a couple years now and that’s something we want to achieve again this season.”
