Juventus is anxiously awaiting updates on defender Juan Cabal’s injury, as he was forced to withdraw from the Colombia national team due to a knee issue. The severity of the injury is still unknown at this time.
The 23-year-old, who can play as a left-back or in central defense, has made nine appearances in Serie A and the Champions League this season, contributing one assist.
Cabal recently earned his first cap for Colombia in September and now has two international appearances. He had been called up for matches against Uruguay and Ecuador.
Juventus acquired Cabal for €12.8m plus €2m in add-ons from Hellas Verona in July, following his departure from Atletico Nacional in August 2022.
The Italian club is already grappling with injury concerns, having lost Gleison Bremer for the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.
