Juventus exploring alternatives for Todibo deal amid transfer negotiations

IF24 Desk

Juventus is actively working on a deal to acquire Jean-Clair Todibo from OGC Nice, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. The club is trying to negotiate a lower asking price from Nice for the defender, who has emerged as their primary target for the center-back position. Riccardo Calafiori, who was in talks with Arsenal, has now taken a backseat to Todibo in Juventus’ transfer plans.

Although Todibo has agreed to personal terms with Juventus, negotiations with Nice are still ongoing. Nice had previously agreed to sell Todibo to Manchester United for €40m, but the transfer was blocked by UEFA. Juventus is hoping to secure Todibo for a lower fee or possibly on a loan deal with an obligation to buy, but Nice seems to have different plans.

Todibo is eager to make the move to Turin, which may lead Juventus to consider offering players like Joseph Nonge Boende or Tarik Muharemović in a swap deal. However, a deal between Juventus and Nice is not expected to be finalized soon. As a result, Juventus is exploring alternative options such as Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg and Clément Lenglet from Barcelona. Juventus reportedly prefers these players over Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, according to Gazzetta.
