Juventus Plans to Use Proceeds from Matias Soule’s Sale to Pursue Jadon Sancho

Manchester United’s victory over Rangers in a pre-season game was notable as fans witnessed new signing Leny Yoro in action for the first time since his arrival. Yoro’s presence allowed manager Erik ten Hag to implement a high line, a strategy he aims to utilize more frequently in the upcoming season.

The match also marked the return of Jadon Sancho in a United jersey after almost a year. Sancho had a fallout with the manager following criticism of his training performances. This led to a public exchange on social media, resulting in Sancho being sidelined from the first team and loaned out in January.

Despite initial doubts about Sancho’s future with the club, he reconciled with the manager and returned to training. Manager Ten Hag acknowledged the situation, stating, “We spoke well. Everyone can make a mistake. We draw a line and move on. This club needs good players and one thing is certain: Jadon is a very good player. I hope it will click and contribute to our success.”

Juventus had expressed interest in signing Sancho but were only willing to consider a loan deal, which was not favored by INEOS. With Sancho back in Ten Hag’s plans, Juventus must now decide whether to make an official bid or pursue other targets.

Reports suggest that Juventus is close to receiving £21 million from the potential sale of Matias Soule to Leicester City. The Italian club intends to use this sum to attract Sancho to Serie A.

“Juventus are ready to accept a £21m offer from Leicester City for talented winger Matias Soule and plan to use that money to sign Man United’s Jadon Sancho,” stated CaughtOffside.

Sancho’s performance against Rangers may have been underwhelming, but Ten Hag is expected to give him more opportunities during the club’s pre-season tour of the US. The decision to accept a reduced offer for Sancho from United remains uncertain, with fans hopeful for a resurgence of the form he displayed at Borussia Dortmund last season. If Sancho can replicate that form, his departure seems unlikely.
