Juventus Director Attempts to Disrupt Inter Milan Transfer Plans by Contacting Hellas Verona President

Juventus Football Director Cristiano Giuntoli has reportedly reached out to Hellas Verona regarding left-back Juan Cabal, who is a transfer target for Inter Milan. Cabal has emerged as a top candidate to join Inter in the past 24 hours.

The Italian champions are in search of a new left-footed defender who can play either as a center-back or a wingback. The club’s owners, Oaktree Capital, are also looking for a young player who can increase the squad’s value, and Cabal fits the bill.

Negotiations between Inter and Verona for the 23-year-old are ongoing, with the possibility of Nerazzurri U19 player Issiaka Kamate moving in the opposite direction as part of the deal.

However, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has revealed that Juventus may try to disrupt the deal. Giuntoli, the Bianconeri’s director of football, reportedly spoke with Verona president Maurizio Setti about Cabal. While Pedulla describes this as a potentially troublesome move, he believes Cabal is not a top priority for Juventus at the moment.

Despite this, Inter should be vigilant as they aim to secure Cabal’s signature. The club has made significant progress in their pursuit of the Colombian left-back and may need to expedite their efforts to ward off any unexpected competition from Juventus or other parties.

Cabal has been a key player at the Bentegodi Stadium since joining from Atletico National in 2022, with his contract running until June 2027.
