Juventus initiates negotiations with Nice for Todibo, as West Ham deal falls through
Recent reports from Italy and France reveal that despite OGC Nice agreeing to a €36 million deal with West Ham United, Jean-Clair Todibo is adamant about joining Juventus, prompting discussions to finally commence.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Nice had accepted West Ham’s offer of €36 million plus additional bonuses to secure Todibo’s transfer. However, despite efforts to negotiate personal terms with the player, Todibo remains steadfast in his desire to reject a move to the Premier League.
Todibo’s preference for Juventus has been well-documented, with reports from Footmercato and Sportitalia confirming that the Serie A giants have now officially entered into talks with Nice. The proposed deal is expected to be structured as a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for a fee slightly lower than that offered by West Ham.
At 24 years old, Todibo is contracted to Nice until 2027 and was acquired from Barcelona for €8.5 million in 2021. The French central defender has also earned two senior caps for his national team.
