Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo, but La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the defender prefers to stay in Italy—with Juventus currently the favourites to land him.
Di Lorenzo is reportedly ready to depart from the Stadio Maradona this summer after learning that the Partenopei are open to selling him for the right price—despite Antonio Conte’s desire for him to stay.
Nonetheless, Di Lorenzo and his agent have been annoyed by the club’s handling of the situation and made it clear they want a transfer this summer. Atletico Madrid immediately stepped forward to express interest in his services, however, the right back’s first preference is to continue playing in Serie A.
As a result, the Bianconeri are keen to secure his services for new manager Thiago Motta.
