Juventus Lock in Di Gregorio Medical Exam Date

IF24 Desk

Juventus has set a date for Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio’s medical examination, signaling the final steps in the completion of the transfer deal. The agreement, valued at €18m, was secured well before the end of the season, with new coach Thiago Motta and director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli keen on bringing in the shot-stopper.

The deal is expected to be structured as a loan for €3m initially, with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for an additional €15m, bringing the total cost of the operation to around €18m.

Various sources, including Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, have reported that the medical examination will take place at the Continassa training camp near Turin on Friday, July 5th. This move comes as Motta plans to revamp the goalkeeping position, with a different vision compared to his predecessor Max Allegri.

As part of the transition, Claudio Filippi, who has been with the first team for 10 years, will be moving to work with the youth academy. His role will be taken over by Alfred Yovo and Iago Lozano, as Motta seeks to implement his own staff in shaping the team for the upcoming season.
