Thiago Motta has named all four of his new signings in the starting lineup for Juventus’ final pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid. Michele Di Gregorio will be in goal, Juan Cabal at left-back, and Khephren Thuram and Douglas Luiz in midfield.
The match is taking place on neutral ground in Goteborg, Sweden, with a kick-off time of 14.00 UK time. Motta has opted for a smaller squad for the trip to Scandinavia, leaving out more than 10 first-team regulars from last season, including Federico Chiesa, Wojciech Szczesny, Weston McKennie, Arkadiusz Milik, and Fliip Kostic. Most of the non-travelling players have been made available for transfer.
Juventus is expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Douglas Luiz playing a more advanced role than Thuram and Manuel Locatelli. Timothy Weah, who has impressed in pre-season, starts on the wing alongside Kenan Yildiz.
