Juventus set to make an official offer for Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners as part of their midfield rebuild. The Italian club, under new coach Thiago Motta, is looking to strengthen their squad with the addition of Koopmeiners.
Despite interest from Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur, Koopmeiners expressed his desire to move to the Premier League, stating, “I have indicated to Atalanta that I want to make a move next summer. But there must be something very nice to exchange for that for Atalanta. My girlfriend and I are having a great time in Italy but I can endure the rain for some clubs in England. I hope there will be great options that I can think about.”
Juventus is leading the race to secure the 26-year-old midfielder, with renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano revealing that the club will make a formal approach once the sale of Matias Soule is finalized. This move will free up funds for Juventus to pursue Koopmeiners, who had an impressive season with 15 goals and seven assists for Atalanta.
If the deal goes through, Koopmeiners will join Douglas Luiz and Khéphren Thuram as the third midfield addition for Juventus this summer. This recruitment drive signals Juventus’ ambition to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level.
