Juventus has reportedly chosen Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez over FC Porto’s Galeno as their top target, according to Sky Sport Italia. The Bianconeri are in search of a versatile wide attacker to fill the void left by Federico Chiesa, who has been instructed to find a new club this summer.
After considering several strong candidates for the position, Gianluca Di Marzio now claims that Juventus has made the decision to prioritize Argentina international Nico Gonzalez, relegating Galeno to a secondary option.
This move could potentially strain relations with Atalanta, who are also interested in acquiring the €30m-rated winger. Atalanta is already displeased with Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli for his involvement in the transfer saga of Teun Koopmeiners, which has caused tension between the two clubs.
Nico Gonzalez, who was signed from VfB Stuttgart for €24.5m plus add-ons, had a challenging season due to injury setbacks.
