Teun Koopmeiners may soon resume training with Atalanta, despite ongoing negotiations with Juventus for his transfer.
Atalanta’s coach Gasperini revealed that Koopmeiners had stopped training with the team in Bergamo after expressing his desire to join Juventus. Reports from Corriere dello Sport even suggest that the Dutch player provided medical notes citing stress as the reason for his absence.
However, the situation is expected to change as Koopmeiners is scheduled to join Atalanta’s training session on Wednesday and could potentially train with his teammates.
This development comes as Juventus is nearing a deal with Atalanta, who have set a transfer fee of €60m for the talented midfielder. Juventus has offered €52m plus €7m in bonuses, just €1m short of Atalanta’s asking price.
Despite the negotiations, Koopmeiners is determined to join Juventus before the transfer window closes, as confirmed by Corriere dello Sport.
