Former Roma left back Luca Pellegrini is closing in on a return to the Italian capital with his ex-club’s fierce in-city rivals Lazio.
Sky Sport reports the defender is terminating his loan with Frankfurt and returning to Serie A with the Biancocelesti.
Lazio have agreed to acquire the defender from Juventus for the remainder of the season on loan. The deal also includes an option to buy worth €15 million.
Pellegrini grew up in Roma’s youth sector, spending nearly a decade at his boyhood club where he made his senior debut in September 2018. He subsequently joined Juventus less than a year later when he was included in a swap deal involving Leonardo Spinazzola.
