Lazio are sweating the status of striker Ciro Immobile after the Italian international was forced off early during yesterday’s scoreless draw against Udinese.
The veteran goalscorer will undergo imaging scans later today but Il Tempo writes the club’s medical staff is worried the injury could be very serious.
So much so they’re bracing for the possibility of being without their top scorer until the new year. If it were the case, Immobile would miss the crucial Derby della Capitale on November 6th.
Through ten rounds, the former Torino man has tallied 6 goals and 3 assists in Serie A this season.
His absence could force Maurizio Sarri to move former Chelsea and Roma man Pedro from his preferred wide position to a more central role.
