Lecce completed their season sweep of Atalanta, beating La Dea for the second time this season by a scoreline of 2-1.

The Salentini stunned Gian Piero Gasperini’s men at the Gewiss Stadium thanks to an early mistake from goalkeeper Juan Musso before Alexis Blin scored late from a corner.

“We spared nothing today, we kept them isolated on the flanks and prevented them from dribbling that usually leads to goalscoring actions,” Lecce boss Marco Baroni said in his post match press conference.

“I have to congratulate the team, it’s another small step forward for us. However, the road to avoiding relegation is still very long and I want us to maintain this attitude.”

He added, “Now we have to recovery energy and be ready for the next challenge.”
