In an extensive interview published in today’s edition of Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Lecce sporting director Pantaleo Corvino detailed what led him to acquire some of the Salentini’s key pieces.

The veteran Italian executive credited the relationships he’s developed over the years in helping him acquire some of the team’s most talented players.

“We’ve only got two scouts, but what we lack in numbers they make up for in experience,” he told the newspaper.

“Then there’s the network of acquaintances and relationships that developed over the years with long-time agents.”

He added, “One example that comes to mind is Fali Ramadani—thanks to him we acquired Wladimiro Falcone.”

“He’s an agent I’ve worked with for several years. When I was at Fiorentina we worked together to bring Stevan Jovetić, Matija Nastasić, Nikola Milenković, and (Dusan) Vlahović to the club.”
