Leonardo Bonucci officially ended his twelve-year run at Juventus (across two stints) earlier today when it was announced he joined German side Union Berlin.
The 36 year-old agreed to a one-year deal with the club following the Bianconeri’s decision to freeze him out of the first team earlier this summer.
“I’m focused on this great opportunity,” Bonucci briefly told Sky Sport.
“I’m excited to join a club on the rise where there’s also a ton of enthusiasm. They play in a high level competition in the Bundesliga plus they’re participating in the Champions League.”
Finally, “My exit from Juventus? We’ll address this down the road. Right now I’m focused on getting started then doing well with Union.”
