A £15 million verbal agreement has been reached by a Premier League club, effectively removing another transfer target from Liverpool’s radar. Dean Huijsen is set to join Bournemouth, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the deal with Juventus, including a sell-on clause.
While the deal is pending medical tests, Huijsen has already agreed to a long-term contract with Bournemouth. Juventus, in turn, is looking to Jean-Clair Todibo as a replacement.
This development marks the end of Liverpool’s pursuit of Huijsen, a player they have been linked with for some time. Despite earlier reports suggesting Liverpool’s interest in Huijsen dating back to March, it seems unlikely that the Reds will make a move for him now.
Instead, Liverpool may turn their attention to developing young defender Jarell Quansah, who shows great potential. However, if Huijsen performs well at Bournemouth, Liverpool may consider a future move for him, potentially at a higher price.
Ultimately, while Huijsen’s move to Bournemouth rules out any immediate transfer to Liverpool, it could enhance the Reds’ chances of signing him in the future.
