Lazio president Claudio Lotito took a hardline stance when asked about the situation surrounding midfielder Luis Alberto.
The Spaniard has long been rumored to be on his way out of the Italian capital due to growing discontent after losing his starting place to Matias Vecino. He’s started only 5 league matches so far this season and may push to leave when the transfer window reopens next month.
“If Luis Alberto wants to leave then bring a team with money,” a blunt Lotito told Il Messaggero.
“I’m not going to consider giving him out on loan. At the moment, the situation hasn’t changed in respect to the summer when he was perhaps misled by Sevilla.”
“I’m not going to get into little games” he continued. “Luis Alberto is strong and an additional value to Lazio. A compromise can still be found.”
“Though, he must accept the manager’s decisions so then Sarri can be more sympathetic and understanding of him.”
