Chatting ahead of this weekend’s league showdown, Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti discussed his relationship with Roma boss Jose Mourinho.

The two sides face-off Sunday evening at the Stadio Olimpico with Napoli looking to extend their unbeaten streak. Spalletti is also in search of his first victory over Mourinho as he winless in six matches against the Special One.

“He’s a super coach,” Spalletti began ahead of the meeting.

“He’s one of the best to do it. He’s one of those managers whom I followed the most for many years. When he says hi to me I feel we share a close friendship–for me, I consider him a friend.”

“Both of us will have to make some choices tomorrow as we’ll be playing mid-week as well. Tomorrow we can’t play differently from the last few times. That’s who we are.”

The Tuscan technician also address the status of midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, who’s nursing a hamstring injury.

He revealed, “I will not risk Anguissa tomorrow. But as for Osimhen, he’s doing well and could be out there tomorrow.”
