Man City is reportedly seeking €25-30 million to offload Joao Cancelo to Inter Milan or Juventus this summer, as reported by Italian outlet Calciomercato.com. Cancelo has been offered to both clubs, indicating that he will not be part of Manchester City’s squad next season.
The Portuguese international fell out with coach Pep Guardiola and has been on loan to Bayern Munich and Barcelona in recent seasons. Despite a successful stint at Barcelona, the Catalan club will not make his loan move permanent. Hence, City and Cancelo’s representatives are looking for a new club for the 29-year-old.
There are rumors of a return to Serie A for Cancelo, where he previously played for Inter and Juventus. His representatives have approached both clubs, but the financial aspects of the deal could be decisive. Cancelo is open to reducing his wages to re-join either Inter or Juventus, as he did at Barcelona last season.
Although City may consider another loan move, they prefer to sell Cancelo outright. The asking price for the player is set at €25-30 million.
