Atalanta backup shot-stopper Marco Sportiello will reportedly be a Milan player next season after his contract with La Dea expires in June.

Calciomercato.com reports the 30 year-old has a full agreement in place with the Rossoneri to join the club and become the new vice goalkeeper to Mike Maignan. The parties will meet in February to officially wrap up the deal and finalise the transfer.

He’ll replace aging veteran Ciprian Tatarusanu whose contract with Milan also expires at the end of the season in June.

The move will officially end Sportiello’s near two decade long tenure with his boyhood club with whom he’s collected 128 senior appearances.
