Veteran goalkeeper and Mexico international Guillermo Ochoa is joining Salernitana on a free transfer.
Both Sky Sport and TV Azteca Deportes confirm the 37 year-old will sign with the club as a free agent, penning a six-months deal that runs until June. He’s expected to land in Italy later this week on Thursday to undergo his medical examinations and finalise the deal.
Ochoa joins Davide Nicola’s side after his contract with Club América came to an end earlier this month after spending the previous three years with the team.
The move marks Ochoa’s return to Europe when he last played for Belgian side Standard Liège.
