Milan have been dealt another huge blow as Mike Maignan faces another stop after picking up an injury in Thursday’s training.
The French shot-stopper had been sidelined for the past month with a calf sprain and was reportedly nearing full recovery when an issue arose in his other leg.
As reported by Sky Sport, medical tests at Milanello evidenced an injury to the left calf muscle. The player’s status will be re-assessed in ten days from now, but the likelihood of seeing him back on the pitch for Milan in 2022 is minimal.
A decision will also be made regarding his eligibility for the upcoming World Cup campaign in Qatar with France.
