Milan were dealt a blow today regarding the status of injured goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

The Frenchman was expected to make a full recovery from a series of two calf muscle injuries he suffered in both his left and right legs.

The shot-stopper sustain an initial strain in his left calf in late September before experiencing a second in his right leg during a training session on his way back from injury.

Sky Sport reports the Rossoneri’s medical staff were discouraged by the follow-up scans Maignan underwent this afternoon. The healing hasn’t progressed as they’d hoped and they’ll have to reassess his condition in two weeks, further delaying his return to the pitch.
