Milan have reignited their interest in Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek after striking a deal with Newcastle United for Sandro Tonali.
The Evening Standard reports the 27 year-old was given the all-clear to leave the club this summer. The Blues value Loftus-Cheek at €30 million but the Rossoneri hope they’ll lower their asking price to €17 million given he only has one year left on his deal.
Milan reignited discussions for Loftus-Cheek in recent days after they were halted earlier this month due to the departure of executive Paolo Maldini.
The midfielder is just one of the several players Chelsea still want to offload this summer after the departures of Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, and ex-Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
