Milan were forced to change course after discussions collapsed with Porto for the acquisition of striker Mehdi Taremi.
The Portuguese side announced yesterday that “Mehdi Taremi will be remaining with the club following a meeting this evening with the player”–thus cancelling his transfer to the Rossoneri.
However, the club worked quickly to find a different option: Fiorentina striker Luka Jovic. According to Sky Sport, the former Real Madrid man is joining Stefano Pioli’s side on a straight loan deal until June.
The Serbian has already arrived at the club’s Casa Milan headquarters and will officially become their latest transfer arrival in the coming hours.
