Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali is steps away from leaving the club and joining Newcastle United in a big-money transfer switch.
The Premier League side are finalising an agreement with the Rossoneri to sign the 23 year-old for a fee worth just north of €70 million according to The Athletic.
All signs point to the deal concluding successfully after Tonali’s agent, Beppe Riso, met with Newcastle executives this afternoon at the Palazzo Parigi Hotel in Milano. Following the round of discussions, Riso was seen boarding a flight to Romania where he’ll meet with his client to take stock of the situation and, in all likelihood, pave way to formalise the transfer.
