Milan have reignited their interest in Barcelona starlet Alejandro Balde—two years after they nearly struck a deal to acquire the left back.
According to calciomercato.com, Rossoneri executives Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara re-established contact with Balde’s agent, Jorge Mendes, to discuss the possibility of landing the player and securing a move to Milano.
The 19 year-old’s contract with Barcelona expires in 2024 and the sides have been in talks for several months regarding a renewal. However, so far no progress has been in the negotiations.
Balde recently made his senior international debut with Spain in the team’s 7-0 thrashing of Costa Rica in their opening World Cup group fixture.
