AC Milan is currently on the lookout for a new left-back to serve as a reliable deputy for Theo Hernandez in the upcoming seasons, as reported. The search for a suitable backup for Theo has been challenging for the team in recent times, with Diogo Dalot performing well during his loan spell but facing uncertainties upon his return, and Fode Ballo-Toure struggling to make an impact after his arrival.
Despite some concerns surrounding Theo’s future following his remarks while on international duty with France, the management is preparing for the next season with the belief that no other club will meet their €80m valuation to lure him away.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), two names have emerged as potential candidates to support Theo: Patrick Dorgu from Lecce and Emerson Palmieri from West Ham, with the latter being a recent addition to the list of targets. Dorgu has garnered attention for his performances at Lecce and is being linked with a move to a higher level, while Palmieri, aged 29, could bring a wealth of experience to the team. He has been with West Ham since 2022, having previously played for their London rivals Chelsea.
