Inter are sweating the status of veteran attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan ahead of their upcoming showdown against Napoli.
The Nerazzurri host the Partenopei next Wednesday at the San Siro but they could be without the Armenian after he was forced off early in the second half during the team’s friendly tonight against Sassuolo.
As a precaution, Simone Inzaghi replaced the 33 year-old with midfielder Roberto Gagliardini after he was seen grasping at his lower back.
The club’s medical staff immediately evaluated Mkhitaryan but additional time will be required before learning how serious his injury is. Though, with less than a week remaining, he’s a major question mark for the clash.
