Pablo Mari is now a Monza player after the club exercised the option to make his loan deal permanent—officially ending his time with Arsenal.
The Spaniard initially joined the Biancorossi last summer on loan and quickly established himself one of the team’s most relied-upon defenders, starting 28 league matches and scoring once.
Arsenal released a statement confirming the defender’s exit and thanked him for his contributions during his short stint with the club.
They wrote, “Pablo Mari has joined AC Monza in a permanent transfer. The 29 year-old defender initially signed for us on loan in January 2020, joining permanently six months later.”
“During his time with us, Pablo made 22 appearances in all competitions. Pablo showed tremendous strength and courage last year to recover from an attack which injured him in Milan in October 2022. We’re all so happy that Pablo is now back to full fitness.”
“We thank Pablo for his contribution to the club and wish him and his family the best of health and happiness in their new chapter.”
