Monza are keen to secure goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio to a new, long term contract after his impressive start to the 2022/23 season.
Di Gregorio has been one of the league’s biggest surprises, especially given it wasn’t a certainty that he’d be the club’s first choice goalkeeper.
Monza acquired Alessio Cragno from Cagliari in the summer but Di Gregorio has managed to keep the veteran on the sidelines.
The 25 year-old shot-stopper is tied fourth for clean sheets in Serie A with five and has caught the attention of several clubs throughout the league.
As a result, Monza executive Adriano Galliani wants to extend the goalkeeper’s deal beyond the current 2025 expiration date—in addition to increasing his wages.
