Roma manager Jose Mourinho was irate with one of his players after his side’s 1-1 draw versus Sassuolo this evening.
Neroverdi attacker Andrea Pinamonti prevented the Giallorossi from securing all three points after he found the back of the net in the 85th minute.
At full time, the Special One lashed out at one of the player’s within his squad, claiming the team’s performance was “betrayed” by this unnamed invididual.
“I think with all our limits we still managed to play a decent game,” he told DAZN.
“However, it’s a shame because the team’s effort was betrayed by a player with unprofessional attitude. He betrayed everyone else’s effort.”
“Players can make mistakes, it’s a part of the game. The real problem, for me, is when your attitude isn’t correct. Look at my approach with Ibanez: he made an error in the Derby but his attitude is always excellent.”
He finished, “In general, my team’s attitude tonight was good. Tonight I was happy with the attitudes of 15 of the 16 players that took the pitch.”
