Roma manager Jose Mourinho wasn’t dissuaded following his team’s 2-1 defeat versus Napoli this evening at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The Giallorossi appeared to be headed for a well-deserved draw this evening versus the Partenopei in Round 20 of Serie A.

However, striker Gio Simeone scored in the 86th minute to secure Luciano Spalletti’s men a late victory and cement their place at the top of the Serie A table. Despite the loss, the Special One was very positive after the game thanks to his team’s performance.

“This was our best game of the season from kick-off,” Mourinho told DAZN.

“After Osimhen’s goal, there was a 10-15 minute stretch where you could sense the feeling of injustice in the air. The team was always in control, recovering the ball and defending very well.”

“I think this is the type of game where you lose and come out more confident than before,” he added.
