New Napoli boss Rudi Garcia held a lengthy press conference covering various topics, including the club’s transfer market strategy for the current summer.
The Frenchman admitted the club’s objectives this summer are two-fold: retain as many players as possible from last season’s title winning squad then add some pieces who can contribute to the side.
“I already said during my introduction, I like the ambition of President De Laurentiis,” Garcia said.
“Obviously we want to have as strong of a team as last season. We know (Min-jae) Kim won’t be with us but I really want to keep the others.”
“We’re set in a number of places within the team but certainly there’s some profile who can improve the squad and help us in some areas.”
“(Victor) Osimhen? I’ve already spoken with him and he wants to stay with us.”
