Napoli defender Bartosz Bereszynski won’t participate in Poland’s upcoming friendly clashes against the Czech Republic and Albania due to injury.
Poland’s football association revealed the fullback suffered a knock to his knee during today’s training session under new manager Fernando Santos.
After undergoing scans, it was confirmed Bereszynski suffered a sprain to one of the ligaments in his left knee. Although not serious, the injury will take at least 2-3 weeks to heal.
In agreement with Napoli, the 30 year-old will remain with Poland at their training retreat and begin rehabilitation under the guidance of the national team’s medical staff.
