The hunt for the next sporting director at Napoli is ongoing following Cristiano Giuntoli’s departure for Juventus one week ago.
Of the various candidates being considered, Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly honed in on former Roma and Milan executive Frederic ‘Ricky’ Massara.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Massara was spotted meeting with the Napoli chief last week at the club’s headquarters. In fact, they report the reigning Italian champions offered him a multi-year contract following his exit from the Rossoneri last month.
Massara requested some time to reflect on the proposal, but in the meantime Andrea Chiavelli, the General Director of Napoli, will continue overseeing all transfer market related matters.
