Barely a month since announcing his retirement from football, veteran defender Domenico Criscito has made a u-turn and Serie B side Genoa.
The 35 year-old is back in Liguria for his fifth spell with the club after spending the previous six months in Canada with MLS side Toronto FC.
He originally planned on retiring from football and announced he was hanging up his playing boots last month on November 22nd.
However, the possibility for another reunion became a concrete possibility after Il Grifone opted to sack manager Alexander Blessin and appoint Alberto Gilardino.
Criscito is a close personal friend of the ex-striker and accepted his offer to come back to the club.
