After suffering a humiliating 7-0 defeat against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, Empoli has decided to make a coaching change.
This afternoon , the Tuscans officially declared the dismissal of their manager, Paolo Zanetti, along with three of his associates: Alberto Bertolini, Nicola Beati, and Fabio Trentin.
“Empoli Football Club confirms Paolo Zanetti has been relieved of his duties in his position as manager of the club’s first team,” they wrote.
Adding, “We want to convey our sincerest thanks and gratitude to Mister Zanetti, who led us to salvation last season. Finally, Empoli wishes he and his staff the very best of luck in both their sporting and personal futures.”
Zanetti officially ends his spell at Empoli with a record of 10 victories, 13 draws, and 21 defeats.
