Napoli attacker Giacomo Raspadori has officially signed a new contract with the club just one year after arriving from Sassuolo.
The Partenopei released an announcement on their website stating the 23 year-old penned a new five-year contract that runs through June 2028. He was also given a pay rise–a reward for the large part he played in helping secure the club’s first league title in over 30 years.
Just prior to the announcement, Raspadori was interviewed by Il Mattino and detailed his team’s objectives for the upcoming season.
“Our goal is to build on all we achieved this past season,” he stated. “Is there a risk we fall-off compared to last year? Based on what I’ve seen so far in training, I don’t think so.”
“Certainly it’s natural to expect a decline after achieving a historic milestone, but we’re a young group that’s filled with professionals who have a burning desire for more and to win.”
